Using frozen crab saves time and money. Gather your ingredients before you begin, and if you're out of something, don't be afraid to substitute and experiment. Crab is a flexible food that works well with new flavors. To keep your avocados from turning brown quickly, wipe a little lemon juice on the cut side, or toss with lemon juice once you've cut it into cubes. The extra zing of lemon will add a great touch. Low sodium soy sauce works just as well as regular. Fresh ginger really makes a difference here, so try to use it if at all possible. If you don't have any fresh ginger, you can still enjoy this recipe though. If you don't have fresh garlic cloves to mince, you can use minced garlic in a jar, but we don't suggest using dried garlic powder. It will taste obey, but you'll miss some of the texture fresh or jarred garlic brings.
