How to Cook Salmon in Foil

Next we will tell you how to cook Salmon in foil. Prepare two pieces of wide, heavy-duty aluminum foil and cut them about six inches longer than the length of the salmon. Place the foil shiny side down on a baking sheet and then spray it well with the cooking spray. Being careful to place it skin side down, put the salmon in the middle of the foil. Use the foil to make a shallow pan around the salmon, remembering to leave a one inch space between the foil wall and the protein-filled fish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

If your oven has preheated, you may then move the pan to the center shelf of the grill, making certain the fish is not covered. Cook for five minutes with the grill closed. After five minutes, open the grill and spread the prepared, delicious glaze over the salmon (we recommend one-third of a cup per salmon side). Closing the grill again, continue to cook five to seven minutes more. The fish is ready to be removed from the grill when it is lightly translucent in the center, bearing in mind the fish will finish cooking from retained heat. When the middle is lightly translucent, remove your tasty fish from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.

Before serving, sprinkle lime zest over the fish. Serve with lime wedges.
