It takes a while for the fish to grow that old! The oldest Halibut has been found to be over 50 years old! Pacific Halibut is a flatfish that lives in the North Pacific Ocean, Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska and off the coast of Russia. Halibut are considered strong swimmers and hard to catch due to how hard they fight. The meat is soft, flaky and very versatile, allowing for almost any type of cooking.
