Easy Frozen Fish Recipes
Are you looking for a quick meal idea that you can create with the best-frozen fish fillets Global Seafoods has in stock? If so, you have come to the right place. Our Lemon Garlic Baked Cod can be made with our frozen fillets and the texture will be just as succulent as fresh cod fillets. Whats even better is that this is one of our frozen fish recipes that can go from the freezer to the table in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients Needed:
- Fresh Lemon Juice (2 large lemons)
- Minced Garlic
- Unsalted Butter
- Kosher Salt
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Frozen Cod Fillets
- Capers
- Paprika
Take out our frozen fish filets about 15-20 minutes before you are ready to cook. Don’t submerge them in water, just place them on a cutting board at room temperature. Mix together your minced garlic, softened butter, salt, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Stir in the capers, or you can skip the capers if you prefer.
Once your mixture is well blended, take your fish fillets and place them in an oven-safe dish. They should be evenly spaced with a few centimeters between them. Pour your butter and spice mixture over the top of the fillets ensuring that each is well covered. Dust the top of each fillet generously with paprika and place it in the oven. Let it cook at 425 degrees for 16-18 minutes until flaky. To keep your fillets from drying out, baste the fillets with the gravy from the dish as soon as it comes out of the oven.
Making Sustainable Food Choices
Buying less fresh fish is always an option, but you can save even more when you buy frozen fish fillets. In fact, some of the best-frozen fish fillets come out to close to 30% off the price of the fresh variety, especially during the off-season. The best-frozen fish are those that are flash-frozen soon after being caught, just like those we offer in our online shop. There is minimal air exposure which keeps the meat tender, succulent, and full of flavor. Buying frozen fish fillets also supports sustainable food choices. By decreasing the demand for fresh fish during the peak of each season, nature will be able to more efficiently refresh itself for the next season.
