When people think of tuna, most of the time they are talking about the dark red meat of Yellowfin Tuna. Yellowfin is well known by the name Ahi, which comes from the Hawaiian language. Yellowfin tuna are some of the largest tuna in the world, and can grow to around 400 lbs. Yellowfin live in the deeper parts of the ocean, but thrive above the thermocline layer. Yellowfin are considered to live in more tropical areas of the world.
