How to Make a Sea Urchin Sushi Bowl

If you're a fan of sushi, you've probably tried different types of sushi rolls and nigiri. But have you tried a sushi bowl? It's a bowl filled with all your favorite sushi ingredients, from rice to fish and vegetables. In this post, we'll show you how to make a sea urchin sushi bowl that's not only tasty but also healthy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sushi rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of fresh sea urchin
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of pickled ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the sushi rice several times until the water runs clear. Drain and add it to a pot with 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. While the rice is cooking, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Once the rice is done, transfer it to a large bowl and add the vinegar mixture. Mix well until the rice is coated and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and sesame oil.
  5. In another bowl, mix the sea urchin with half of the soy sauce and sesame oil mixture.
  6. Assemble your sushi bowl by placing the rice at the bottom of the bowl and then adding the sliced avocado, cucumber, shredded carrot, and sliced scallion on top.
  7. Place the sea urchin mixture on top of the vegetables and rice.
  8. Drizzle the remaining soy sauce and sesame oil mixture on top of the sea urchin.
  9. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and pickled ginger on top of the bowl.
