Pacific Halibut Poke Bowl Recipe

If you're looking for a healthy and flavorful meal, try making a Pacific Halibut Poke Bowl at home. Here's how to create a mouthwatering dish that's packed with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors.

  • 1 lb. Pacific Halibut, diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup sliced radish
  • 1/4 cup sliced scallions
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp. chopped cilantro

For the Poke Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 tsp. honey

  1. Start by preparing the Poke sauce. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and honey. Set aside.

  2. Rinse the Pacific Halibut with cold water and pat dry. Cut the fish into small, bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Add the Poke sauce to the bowl with the Halibut, making sure to coat each piece evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. While the Halibut is marinating, cook the brown rice according to the package instructions. Set aside.

  5. When you're ready to assemble the Poke bowl, take the marinated Halibut out of the fridge and give it a good stir.

  6. To assemble the bowl, start by placing a bed of cooked brown rice at the bottom of each bowl.

  7. Add a generous serving of marinated Pacific Halibut on top of the rice.

  8. Add sliced avocado, cucumber, radish, and scallions on top of the Halibut.

  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped cilantro on top for extra flavor.

  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Pacific Halibut Poke Bowl!

Tips for selecting the freshest ingredients:

  • Look for Pacific Halibut that is firm, shiny, and smells fresh.
  • Choose ripe avocados that are slightly soft to the touch but not mushy.
  • Look for cucumbers and radishes that are firm and have a bright color.
  • Use fresh scallions and cilantro for the best flavor.
