  • 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving


  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
